A week’s writing retreat for a female identifying writer with Hoskings Houses Trust & mentorship with MMD Board Member, Teresa Howard

From The Hosking Houses Trust: ‘A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.’
Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own Penguin Classics 1928. We would add to this…‘if she is to write anything’. For, while the circumstances of women have changed dramatically since 1928, it is still often the case that women are unequal in gender opportunity. We have therefore given bricks, mortar and a credited bank account to this ideal and that ‘room’ is a tiny cottage, Church Cottage, in the village of Clifford Chambers near Stratford-upon-Avon.
Please note: The Hosking Houses Trust exists to support the work of female writers. To this end only writers who identify as women will be eligible to bid.
Donated by the Hoskings Houses Trust & Teresa Howard, MMD Board
