The Noel Coward Foundation is supporting MMD's The Works, four readings of new musicals by some of the most exciting musical writing talent. The four shows will be Conor Mitchell's Old 100th, based on Gogol's Diary of a Madman, Olly Ashmore's comic take on A Christmas Carol, called Humbug!, Paul Graham Brown's show inspired by the Cottingley fairies, Fairystories, and Elliot Davis and Stephen Clark's enigmatically titled rock muscial, X. The readings will take place at the Grand Salon, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, this Summer, in front of invited audiences. Mercury Musical Developments is a charity that develops and platforms writers of new musical theatre.
