One of the foremost music theatre composer/lyricists working in the UK today, Conor Mitchell has been creating and setting words in a dramatic context for many years. Join him to learn more about different approaches to lyrics in musical theatre, and to discover why musical theatre lyrics often go wrong. Topics include basic craft matters like rhyme and scansion, but also more subtle techniques like tone and subtext, all supported by examples of the best lyric writing.

Those who remember his excellent music session from 2009 will know that Conor is amazingly well-versed in musical theatre and music theatre repertoire. If you want your lyrics to shine and to work as drama, then come to this session and find out more.
