Mercury Musical Developments (MMD) is a membership organisation dedicated to new musical theatre writing.

We are a thriving community of over 400 composers, lyricists and book writers from across the UK and the world. We run a year-round programme of initiatives designed to support members through a range of professional development and showcasing initiatives, including masterclasses, residencies, writers’ groups and mentorships.

We connect the wider theatre industry with writers and their musicals, seeking out opportunities, discovering talent and nurturing new work, ensuring that British musical theatre has a bright future.
