We think it's very important to be able to learn from the pros. To that end, MMD arranges as many events as possible in which writers and composers can learn more about their own craft from people who are active in the business.
MMD events fall into three basic categories:
Salons are lectures given by professionals from all walks of musical theatre life.
The Nuts & Bolts Seminars are practical craft sessions run by professionals in all aspects of the craft of writing musicals.
Various social events are held throughout the year to offer networking opportunities. These enable writers and composers to socialise with their peers, explore new collaborative relationships and share their experiences and knowledge with each other.
