Join the creatives and producer behind the West End hit show Sue Townsend’s The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4 to talk about their journey of taking Adrian Mole from page to stage.
What began as an idea between two young writers nearly ten years ago is now a West End musical playing at The Ambassadors Theatre, London. The pathways for developing new British musicals are excitingly varied with endless opportunities. Join us as we discuss how this new British musical was created and developed, received its world premiere at Leicester Curve (2015), received its Off-West End debut at the Menier Chocolate Factory (2017) and continued its journey to the West End (2019), where you can watch it today!
We’ll be talking to writers Jake Brunger (Book and Lyrics) and Pippa Cleary (Music and Lyrics), Ramin Sabi (Producer), and Chris Stafford (Chief Executive, Curve). The discussion will be chaired by MMD’s Executive Director, Victoria Saxton.
When: Thursday 1st August 2019, post-show Discussion from 5.30pm until 7.00pm
