Showcasing contemporary British Musical Theatre
Took place at Park Theatre, on Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th March 2016.
This was an unprecedented, vibrant two-day event combining panel discussions, Q&A, provocations, networking, masterclasses and installations, together with live pitches and book in hand presentations of new work from artists and venues around the UK.
Through a series of regional and London pitching days, we identified a wide range of work to be included in the showcase – from the traditional book musical through to work that is advancing the form and experimenting with the idea of what musical theatre can be; from completed musicals to scratch presentations of early ideas.
BEAM: 2018 will take place in March 2018 at Theatre Royal Stratford East.
Coming soon: We are always looking to expand our range of showcasing opportunities for our members. In the future we hope to offer cabaret nights and informal ‘work in progress’ events. If you would like to partner with us on such a project please do get in touch.
