Each month, MMD members gather online to read and discuss the libretto of a celebrated musical. Together we explore the storytelling craft: structure, character, dialogue, tone, and how the book supports or challenges the score.

We provide the featured libretto each month so you can read ahead before joining the conversation. Our next session takes place on Tuesday 9th December with The Band’s Visit, generously provided by MTI.

Each month, we’ll post a password-protected link to the chosen libretto on the Musicals Resource Hub (Resources > Book Club). Once you register via the event page, you’ll receive an email with the password so you can access and view it.

Attendance and librettos are free for members.
