HOW DOES IT WORK: Arrive at the venue for 7pm – One of team MMD will have a clip board and sign up sheet.
Just come and put your name down for a slot. It’s that simple!
Your slot will be for ONE SONG ONLY unless there is time for two.
WHAT WE OFFER: A stage / microphone / love and support
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Yourselves / a pianist (if not you) / a singer (if not you)
WHY OPEN MIC? Many of you have requested an open night to test out new material,
so we are thrilled that we have now officially launched this monthly event.
WHO CAN COME? This is designed primarily for MMD members.
However, please do invite any friends and family that will be supportive and understand the spirit of the night.
Our aim to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for you, our members, to flourish, take risks and try out new material.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NOW? Nothing at all – just put the date in your diary.
Get there a little earlier to put your name down if you wish to try something out – and if you want to be in the audience
just turn up any time from 7pm.
There is a bar so use it; there will be food, order it!
This will be a regular date for your diary, and as well as supporting members work, it becomes a social evening to look forward to as well.
The most important part is that we support all of the brave souls that get up and have a go, for some people it might be their first time singing their material.
So please do come and support your fellow writers and lets creative a fabulous environment to test out new songs.
