Alex Poulton is a composer of primarily opera and musicals.  His latest musical: Freek Street had a short run at The Station Theatre in July 2008 in Portsmouth.  Alex has also written and performed several song cycles various choral arrangements and music for chamber ensembles.
As a baritone singer he has performed in recital in major festivals throughout Europe and in many of the worlds leading concert venues from ‘The Wigmore Hall’, London to ‘The De Doelen’, Rotterdam. His core repertoire includes all three of Schubert’s song cycles which he has musically adapated.  He also sings art song for BBC television and has appeared on ITV, working in collaboration with Keith Cheetham, Robin Bowman and Radio 3 broadcaster Piers Burton-Page.
