Anna’s musicals with Emily Garsin include the music and lyrics for Endings (2019) – directed by Grace Taylor as part of The Ceiling Project produced by Somewhat Awkward – and Finding Time (2016), Return to Aesop (2014) and Moon (2011), all of which received performances as part of the Starling Arts Summer School. She also wrote the book, music and lyrics for Feyly Manor (2008).

Garsin & Shields are in the process of writing their fifth musical together, A Little Patch of Green; a story of community, family and the power of green spaces.

On YouTube she can be found singing about that time of the month in her cabaret ditty The Period Song.

By day she is co-director of Starling Arts, and gets people singing wherever and whenever she can.

Her songs Write it From the Heart / Tell the Tale and Look Up feature on the Starling Arts albums High Five and Taking Flight, produced by Auburn Jam Music. In 2020, the Starling Arts choirs released their single The Voice Inside, written by Garsin & Shields.
