Biography

Poet, playwright and librettist. His play, Waterton’s Wild Menagerie was shortlisted for the Nick Darke Award and Britain For Breakfast was a finalist at the Enter Stage Write Awards at Birmingham Hippodrome in 2020.  His one-man show, Message In A Bottle, played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Peacock and the Nightingale, was produced at the San Diego International Fringe Festival with an American director and cast.

He is currently working in collaboration with American and British composers on song settings and short-form operas. Songs of Earth and Sky with James Sproul and Casting Off a micro opera with Ellie Parker. He is always interested in forging new collaborations with composers.

He was recently awarded 2nd Prize in the E.H.P. Barnard Poetry Prize 2021.
