Born in Cornwall, UK in 1978, Chris is a freelance composer, orchestrator, arranger and HE tutor.
Chris studied composition and orchestration with composers Patric Standford and Paul McKinley with further work under Dr Mick Wilson and Prof Alan Williams during his Masters at the University of Salford.
Chris’ works have been performed by ensembles in every continent of the world (apart from Antarctica…so far!) He was commissioned to write many pieces for Trinity College London’s Music Tracks syllabus and provided consultancy and compositional services for the board redesigning and writing their new improvisation and own composition options, reworked aural tests and examiner tests.
Increasingly in demand as an arranger, recent clients include several choir and commercial publishers, orchestras and also the Royal Opera House. Get in touch with your requirements.
Chris tutors undergraduates at the OCA ( The Open College of the Arts ) part of the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). He wrote their Foundation Course in Music and helped to develop their BA Music programme.
