Kate studied Music and English Literature at Warwick University and took an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.  She has taught, directed, conducted, composed and written for many choirs, groups and schools and is passionate about engaging young people in the arts.  She has conducted at the Royal Albert Hall Schools Proms twice, with a massed choir of 500 performing two of her songs. She has worked for Iford Opera as their Education Manager, lectured at universities and colleges and been the Deputy Head of two Music Services.  Kate has written a musical of ‘Pied Piper’ based on the original text by Robert Browning, and many children’s nativities.  She has music published through Sing Up and BaBa Productions and particularly enjoys writing choir music, especially for children’s choirs.
