Biography | Sam Hall is a Kent based composer, lyricist, writer, musical director/supervisor, arranger/orchestrator and musician. Sam studied contemporary classical composition at the Royal College of Music with Mark-Anthony Turnage and has had his music and arrangements played by first class orchestras including the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Since graduating, he has mainly been found working in musical theatre. A brief stint working in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music department and time on various west end and international shows has given Sam an undying love of the musical theatre art-form. His music straddles many different genres and he is always looking to create exciting and innovative new work. Sam keeps himself busy playing many instruments including piano, hammond organ, guitars, cello, bass, drum kit, saxophones, ukelele and mandolin. Sam’s musical ‘On The Edge’ was workshopped at The Union Theatre, starring David Fynn, Kayleigh McKnight, Helena Pipe and Darren Rapier, musical direction from Matt Smith, directed by Patrick O’Neill and produced by Amy Hendry. |
