Simon Arrowsmith

I work as a composer, songwriter and sound designer. And when not doing musical things I run a storytelling consultancy. Below is a recent programme ‘blurb’ containing some work history and credits:

Simon graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a first-class BA Hons and later a Masters in Contemporary Arts. His focus was on live performance with sound as an integral ingredient. His work has been selected for festivals and showcases including Manchester’s Greenroom, London’s ICA, and as part of the National Review of Live Art. Composition and sound design includes Macbeth (Tunbridge Wells), Checkpoint Chana (Finborough), The View from Nowhere (Park Theatre), Something Something Lazarus (King’s Head Theatre) April in Paris (English Theatre of Hamburg) and Two Gentlemen of Verona, Jekyll & Hyde (White Horse Theatre, Touring Germany). He also produces music and sound for film and games. His most recent digital project is The Monarch Papers an interactive year-long story from New York publisher Ackerly Green. He was nominated for Off West Awards (Offie) in 2018 for his work on The Lesson (Hope Theatre) and 2022 for Thrill Me (Jermyn Street Theatre).
