Tom Slade is a freelance musician.
His most recent work was as an intern and rehearsal pianist at Starlight Express in Bochum, Germany.
He is the co-composer of new musical ‘Witch’ and is the orchestrator, composer and librettist of music-theatre play ‘Tricked’, a song from which has made the final of Stiles and Drewe’s Best New Song Prize 2017.
Tom has completed a semester studying Music and Orchestration in Graz, Austria and is a student at the University of Warwick (UK). He is competent with Sibelius and MainStage.
He is currently orchestrating his music-theatre play which he hopes to finish by early 2017, his arrangement is for Piccolo/Flute, Clarinet/Alto Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet 1+2, Horn, Keyboard, Accordion, Percussion, Violin, Cello and Double Bass, with which he hopes to execute the musical styles of Tricked, that of american jazz, military music and typical musical theatre with competence and folky flare.
With MMD, Tom hopes to share his work with budding musical practitioners, make contacts for pursuing a career in composition, orchestration and musical direction and benefit from a mutual to and fro-ing of ideas, skills and disciplines.
