TOM LING is an actor, writer, and producer, currently under commission by a major UK producer.
His work includes TECHIES: THE MUSICAL, which sold-out at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe and featured in Broadway Baby’s Top Ten New Musicals and Broadway World’s Pick of the Programme; THE CEREAL CAFE, professionally workshopped at The Other Palace in 2019 and finalist of the 2021 Stiles and Drewe Award; Co-writer on NICK BUTCHER: LIVE AT ZEDEL; THE TERRIFIC TREEVILS: MUSICAL IN A BOOK, written for The Woodland Trust and premiered at the Watford Palace Theatre; ANIMAL FARM for British Youth Music Theatre and GRIMM: THE MUSICAL for The Other Palace’s Musical Bites.
Tom was part of the 2019 Goodspeed Writers Colony, working on a brand-new musical commission for Michael Harrison Entertainment and is an alum of the 2020 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. In summer 2021 he produced UPBEAT Virtual Festival, featuring hundreds of artists’ work including the Nottingham Playhouse and Gradfest UK. Over lockdown, his musical theatre podcast, The Show Show, ran in the top 50 UK Performing Arts podcasts and continues to be listened to around the world.
