Tony Bayliss

Biography

Tony served in the UK military for 12 years. He served in a specialist Airborne Commando unit based in Royal Marines Poole. He worked all over the world in the desert, Arctic and jungle and served on two operational tours of duty in Iraq/Gulf war and the troubles of Northern Ireland.
After leaving the Armed forces he studied music at the musicians institute, Hollywood, California on the Associates degree program. After writing an EP that received radio play and runner up in the UK singer songwriter competition he then went on to study full time again receiving a scholarship  at London’s American Musical Theatre Academy of London. After graduation he co-wrote music and lyrics for WAG the musical that received a run in London’s Charing Cross theatre being co-produced by Westend and TV star Paul Nicholas. His professional theatre credits include, Madam Butterfly (Royal Albert Hall), Tommy the rock opera (Playing uncle Earnie) Beauty and the beast, Elegies and playing the role of Khashoggi in Queens smash hit musical We Will Rock.  Tony entered the industry later in life than most due to his military career but is passionate and excited to network and learn more about the craft of musical theatre writing. He is hoping to showcase his originol musical that he is currently working on where this time he is doing the book, music and lyrics himself.
