Join us for an exciting online panel discussion for MMD members focusing on some of the amazing study, development, and showcasing opportunities available for musical theatre writers in the U.S.

We have a fantastic line-up of panellists joining us from the U.S., representing some of the most prestigious showcasing and producing organisations, study and academic programmes, and writer retreats. They include Betsy King Militello (Executive Director) and Frankie Dailey (New Works Director) at National Alliance for Musical Theatre, Fred Carl (Associate Arts Professor) at NYU Tisch, Dan Marshall (Associate Professor) and Julianne Wick Davis (Program Director MT) at Berklee NYC, and Brannon Bowers (Producing Director, American Music Theatre Project) at Northwestern University, Chicago. We will also have information from Goodspeed Musicals and the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat in upstate New York to share.

In addition, we will be joined by award-winning writing team Claire McKenzie and Scott Gilmour (Noisemaker) who have worked extensively in the U.S., having presented their work at the NAMT Festival of New Musicals, Goodspeed and AMTP Chicago and who will share their perspective as writers who have benefited from some of these great opportunities.

If you’ve ever wondered about what opportunities may exist ’across the pond’, whether you should apply, and wanted to find out more, this is the discussion for you.

The online panel will be privately livestreamed via the Mercury Musical Developments YouTube channel and members will be able to ask the panel questions via the live chat.
